ABN Lookup web services
Overview
An XML interface to the ABN Lookup is available to registered users. Using this facility, you can integrate ABN Lookup
validation and data into your own applications.

Limitations
Before registering for access to the ABN Lookup web services please read the following information to better understand whether these services will meet your needs.
Is registration required to search the ABN Lookup web site?
The simple answer is no, you do not need to register for access to the ABN Lookup web services to:
- verify ABN information on the ABN Lookup web site
- search for matching names on the ABN Lookup web site
- use the free tools available for download from the ABN Lookup web site.
To verify ABN information or search the ABN Lookup web site, enter the ABN or name in the box in the top right of each screen and press search.

Can I update my ABN details using ABN Lookup web services?
Again the answer is no. The ABN Lookup web services are limited to the functionality described below:
- The ABN Lookup web services provide a read-only, XML interface to the ABN Lookup data.
- You cannot apply for an ABN using the ABN Lookup web services.
- You cannot update ABN details using the ABN Lookup web services.
- Only the publicly available information about an ABN is available through the ABN Lookup web services.
- The ABN Lookup web services enable you to integrate ABN Lookup data into your own internal computer applications.
- Importantly, to integrate the ABN Lookup web services, you need a working knowledge of computer application development languages and tools.
